By attending the LIFEQUESTWEEKEND, you are making a huge investment in your future and in those who will one day follow in your footsteps. This time away from the routine and busyness is critical in your pursuit of God. To get the most out of this retreat, don’t wait until the last minute to prepare yourself.
Prepare your mind and prepare your heart — be attentive to it.
To help, we’ve included some suggestions (below). These will help you unplug from the “matrix” and ready you for the next leg of the journey.
This is the MOST important resource on our site. The enemy of your heart does NOT want you to find life and he certainly does not want you to attend LIFEQUESTWEEKEND or the LIFEQUESTWEEKEND | BOOTCAMP! So pray. Use the “Daily Prayer” (or one of the other prayers below) as a weapon against the enemy… and as a means to draw closer to God.

Have you read the book Wild-at-Heart? It isn’t mandatory for attending, but we can tell you from first-hand experience that it is the best way to prepare yourself for what you will experience. [Book]
If you’ve already read Wild-at-Heart — consider reading it again. Read the updated version. My first time reading through it was good… but God used even more during my second time through. And, if you have not yet read Wild-at-Heart — read it.
This retreat is based on “Wild at Heart Boot Camps” hosted in Colorado by John Eldredge and the Ransomed Heart team. These retreats are based primarily on the concepts found in Wild at Heart. You will get more out of the retreat if you already have this information under your belt and have already begun to allow it to sink in. But more importantly… you should read this book because it sets the stage for an awakening.
We will use the concepts in Wild at Heart as an outline to walk you into the next stage of your masculine journey. (And by “Masculine Journey” we mean the journey that you as a man are on, whether you knew it or not. It is a journey requiring specific information and action that can only be found in the company of other men.) We will intentionally step into the issues that face us as men… and we will find that life will be better, we will be better, and our lives will never be the same again.
This is a short book, but really great. [Book | Kindle]
Life, for most of us, feels like a movie we’ve arrived to forty minutes late.
Sure, good things happen, sometimes beautiful things. But tragic things happen too. What does it mean? We find ourselves in the middle of a story that is sometimes wonderful, sometimes awful, usually a confusing mixture of both, and we haven’t a clue how to make sense of it all. No wonder we keep losing heart.
We need to know the rest of the story.
For when we were born, we were born into the midst of a great story begun before the dawn of time. A story of adventure, of risk and loss, heroism . . . and betrayal. A story where good is warring against evil, danger lurks around every corner, and glorious deeds wait to be done. Think of all those stories you’ve ever loved—there’s a reason they stirred your heart. They’ve been trying to tell you about the true Epic ever since you were young.
There is a larger story And you have a crucial role to play.
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” That’s the offer of Christianity, from God Himself. Waking the Dead will help you find that life, see the fierce battle over your heart, and embrace all that God has for you. [Book | Kindle]
